In Brazil, harvest of coffee crops may be stalled during the four to five days of rain. The moisture will help coffee trees recover from the stress wrought by a drought this year, but it will hurt the quality of the coffee that is now being harvested. Rain during coffee harvest will infuse a bitter taste in beans and thus lower the overall quality of beans.
