Overcast weather conditions prevailing over coastal and peninsular region are favourable for the coconut plantations. Expected showers over coastal region will be helpful to the coconut plantations. Cyclone in parts of Orissa and Andhra affected some of the coconut plantations in the area. In rest of the producing regions, coconut plantations remain under good condition.
