States such as Rajasthan and MP have reported a higher area under gram. Late monsoon rains in Gujarat,Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh has ensured optimum moisture levels for sowing of chana which may increase its acreage. Sowings of timely Chana has already completed in parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat states.
