Farmers have started harvesting early sown Chickpea crop. Indian Chana production is likely to be higher this year as weather fovoured the crop currently it is suitable. There are some concerns over a shift in acreage in MP. Indian Government paying to farmers for buying this year's Chana to Rs. 3100 per quintal from Rs 3000 a year earlier.
