Ample monsoon rains in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat has ensured optimum moisture levels for sowing of chana which may increase its acreage. Sowings of timely chana already completed in parts of Maharashtra, MP and Gujarat, while sowing of rainfed chana continues smoothly also in the northern region.
