Indian Castor seed prices climbed 10% in the last two weeks as a result of lower production estimates and lower sowing area due to unfavourable weather conditions. Castor crop production is estimated to be significantly lower than earlier industry projections of 1.0 to 1.2 million tons. Expert expect a 20% decline in production.
