Gujarat is a major Castor seed producing state. Castor seed futures gained as traders started covering on export demand in the spot market. Weak production estimates for the current year also aided the rise. Castor spot price at Rajkot market was up by Rs 5-7 to Rs 765-775 for 20 kg. Demand for castor meal and castor oil has improved.
