Strong domestic demand for black pepper continued & whatever material was available and offered was picked up by the inter-State dealers. Spot prices remained steady at Rs 51500 (ungarbled) and Rs 53500 (garbled) per quintal on matching demand and supply. Export prices increased to $9,025 c&f Europe and $9,275 a tonne c&fUS.
