Industrial smoke, dust and pollutants supported by fog will persist during morning hours over northwest plains in next two days. Temperatures are low as they kept falling in the nights due to cooling. Sluggish heavier moist easterly winds create fog (clouds on the lower levels of atmosphere close to land ) which trapped pollutants and smoke to create smog.
Weather in Delhi will continue to have smog-ridden morning hours. Parts of Haryana, Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh will have same weather during morning hours. The weather in northwest plains will have normal day temperatures. Change in wind conditions and speed will have bearing on the fog during nights
Weather in central, especially that of its eastern parts will remain under the influence of the low pressure area that persists in the region. The weather system has been languishing in south India. Skymet Weather had predicted that it may move north-northeastwards in the Bay of Bengal, instead of westward towards West coast or the Arabian Sea and this it does. Now it is going to weaken and move away towards north Bay of Bengal.
So, rain with heavy intensity at a few places will continue to occur in Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha. Chhattishgarh, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal will also have good amounts of rain at a few places during next 24 to 48 hours. Rain will start decreasing gradually after next 24 hours. South interior Karnataka, north interior Karnataka and adjoining Maharashtra will receive light rain in this period. Both regions have low day temperatures but high night temperatures.
