As predicted by Skymet, most parts of the country have witnessed a cloudy and rainy weather on Saturday morning. In Delhi, light rain will continue for the entire day. Temperatures will remain comfortable around 32°C.

Early morning showers in Lucknow disturbed Eid celebrations. Cloudy weather likely to continue throughout the day in most parts of Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow. Light rain is likely as well. Muslims across Kerala also celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr. Morning rain at some places of the state forced many to stay indoors during the prayers.

Mumbai will receive light to moderate rain on Saturday and the intensity will increase after 24 hours. It could start raining in Kolkata anytime soon. There are chances of light to moderate rain in Bangalore as well. However, Hyderabad will witness sultry weather conditions throughout the day. We cannot rule out the possibility of light rain.

The sacred festival of Eid ul-Fitr marks the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. Eid ul-Fitr, which signifies brotherhood, is just a day away. And with the comeback of clouds in most parts of North and Peninsular India, the Muslim community has certainly been a bit worried as celebration of their festival is subject to sighting of the moon.

Eid is expected to fall on Saturday this year, after the moon is sighted on Friday night.

Skymet brings you the weather conditions in major cities of India:

Weather in Hyderabad

Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated with much fervour in the city of Nizams, Hyderabad. We can already see the festive spirit in the bylanes of the Old City. People gather at the Mir Alam Tank, Secunderabad, Masab Tank, Madannapet and Golcondaidgahs for prayers.

Sky will remain mostly cloudy on Saturday. Maximum and minimum temperatures will settle around 33°C and 24°C, respectively. Evening will be pleasant, and there are no chances of rain in the city.

Eid in BangaloreWeather in Bangalore

Bangalore will observe partly cloudy weather during next 48 hours. Light rain is likely on July 19. Day temperature will be comfortable around 29°C, while minimum will settle close to 21°C.

Eid is a grand affair for Bangaloreans. Here Ramadan is all about delicious seviyan (sweet vermicelli), dum biryani and other sumptuous foods.

Weather in Kochi

Kochi could receive light patchy rains on Saturday morning. Moderate showers at a couple of places cannot be ruled out as well. Eid, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, is celebrated across Kerala including Kozhikode and Kochi.

In Delhi, we see people greeting each other saying ‘Eid Mubarak’ and embracing each other. People also exchange gifts and wear new clothes. A huge crowd gathers every year to offer Prayers of Eid at the Jama Masjid.

Few spells of rain and thundershowers are likely here on Friday and Saturday. Accordingly, day will remain cloudy and maximum will come down to settle around 32°C.

Weather in Mumbai

It has been raining in Mumbai for the last couple of days. On Saturday as well, we could expect cloudy to partly cloudy sky in Mumbai. Moderate showers are likely in many parts of the city. Rain will not be heavy as the offshore trough is not very active in coastal parts of Maharashtra.

Eid in AjmerWeather in Ajmer

Here people will gather at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, amidst a partly cloudy sky. But rain will give a miss on Saturday. However, we can expect light rain on Sunday. Maximum and minimum temperatures will settle around 34°C and 27°C, respectively.

Weather in Lucknow

Lucknow will be mostly overcast on Saturday. Few spells of rain and thundershowers are also likely here. Maximum and minimum temperatures will settle around 32°C and 25°C, respectively.

Eid in KolkataWeather in Kolkata

Eid-ul-Fitr is also known as Choti Eid or Ramadan eid. This festival is widely celebrated across Kolkata. People here gather at the Nakhoda Masjid and others to offer prayers and greet one another.

Eid in Kolkata, like many other cities, is an all-inclusive affair. People from other faiths and beliefs also take part in the celebrations. A cloudy day could bring intermittent rain and thundershowers here on Saturday.
