The Southwest Monsoon has retreated from North India, paving way for the pleasant weather conditions during night across the northern plains. The region that includes Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR and adjoining parts of Uttar Pradesh are already experiencing comfortable evenings and nights for the last few days.
According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, withdrawal of Monsoon from the region has led to change in wind pattern from easterlies to northwesterlies over the entire area.
The dry northwesterly winds have significantly reduced the levels of humidity from the atmosphere. Minimum temperatures are now settling in the range of 17°C to 22°C across the northwestern plains.
