Chennai rains have begun to lash the city and are expected to intensify further as the day progresses. Since last night, the capital city of Tamil Nadu has been receiving heavy rains and until now, the city has already recorded a whopping 57 mm of rain.
More heavy to very heavy showers are expected to lash the city very soon. Low lying areas may get flooded and air and rail traffic may be more affected as rain intensity increases.
