Delhi weather has been playing hide and seek for quite some time now. While the month of December remained mild in terms of wintry days, as January made a grand entrance, weather conditions changed resulting in cold weather conditions.
In fact, during the last few days, both minimums as well as maximums have been settling below the normal levels in Delhi and its adjoining areas. In fact, during the first week of January, light rainfall was also witnessed over the national capital.
Since then, rainfall has remained far away, however, biting cold conditions have continued to make their presence felt. Now, rainy days are in the offing for Delhi and the NCR region in the coming days.
Two back to back Western Disturbances are approaching the Western Himalayas. The first one which will affect the hills today evening onward is expected to give good rain and snow over the hills of North India. The second system is likely to start affecting the hilly states January 24 onward, this system will also give good rains over plains of North India.
In fact, rainy days are likely over Delhi and the NCR region between January 24 and 27. The republic day which falls on January 26 may also become a rainy affair. Thus, some hindrance is likely in the form of rain on that day.
