The weather system that had formed over Gulf of Thailand and its adjoining area has moved slightly westwards. It continues to show signs of entering Andaman Seas in the next 24 hours. Once over open seas, it is likely to turn better defined and possibly become a depression that might turn into a Cyclonic Storm in the next about 3 to 4 days.
This weather system's existing location is conducive for such systems to originate from and later intensify into a storm. While over high seas, further movement depends on the prevailing winds and the steering current. Weathermen at Skymet are continuously observing this and will keep posting any further developments.
