The national capital Delhi could witness rain or thunder showers tonight. The Western Disturbance (WD) is affecting the northwest plains by allowing the moist easterly winds blow till Delhi. Weather in Delhi will be cloudy which will further drop the maximum temperature.
Delhi recorded a maximum of 25.4 degrees on Tuesday, three notches below the normal of 28.2 degrees for the month of November. After falling a bit on Wednesday and possibly on Thursday, day temperature will again rise to become normal by the weekend.
The weather system (WD) that will bring snow and rain in the western Himalayan region will stay for the next two days. After it passes, northerly winds will resume in the plains dropping the night temperatures in Delhi. Night temperature in Delhi was recorded at 12.9 degrees on Wednesday. It will remain in the same range on Thursday but may fall to 10 degrees thereafter.
Western Disturbance is a low pressure area that originates in the Mediterranean Sea and adjoining Atlantic and moves eastwards reaching north India. It brings winter rains in the region. Delhi receives 3.7 mm of rain in the initial winter month of November due to this weather system.
