The formation of a low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal has been confirmed. But confirmation about the possible formation of the cyclonic storm over the Bay could take a little longer than expected earlier. Next 48 to 72 hours would be crucial for this weather development in the unstable sea conditions of the Bay of Bengal.
There will be a rise in temperatures in Delhi but prevailing humidity levels will subside to make daytime a bit easy during the next two days. Rain will subdue in Jammu & Kashmir while it will continue in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and northeastern states. Kerala and Tamil Nadu in south will continue to receive rain during the next 48 hours.
The Western Disturbance (WD) over Jammu & Kashmir will move out of the region and northerly to northwesterly winds will force moist easterly to southeasterly winds to step back. Drop in humidity levels in north and northwest India will bring relief from the uneasiness that prevailed during the stay of the weather system over Jammu & Kashmir in the last couple of days.
In spite of temperatures hovering in thirties, Delhi will be relieved during the morning and evening hours as winds would be northerly. Day temperature in Delhi will rise as heating will be more under a mainly clear sky. Maximum temperature will also rise in north and northwest India during the next two days.
The absence of the WD from Western Himalayan region will also put a brief halt on rainfall on the hills of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh for next two days, thereafter a fresh WD may approach and effect these regions Saturday onwards.
The wind dis-continuity from east Uttar Pradesh to Kerala now runs from northeast Madhya Pradesh to Kerala across Vidarbha and interior Karnataka. Under its aegis, rain will occur at one or two places in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh in central Peninsula. The same weather system will be instrumental in continuation of rain at a few places in Kerala and Tamil Nadu and at one or two places in Andhra Pradesh as well during the next two days.
The trough that runs from northeast Madhya Pradesh to Assam in the northeast will bring in rain in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim and northeast states during the next two days. There are chances of heavy rain at one or two places in northeast India.
